There are some simple ways of helping those in singing groups and choirs to make the most of their voices, to develop flexibility, range, expressivity without strain or effort.

Cost: £25, £15 concessions. Please bring food to share. For details and to book email Kathie Prince:  or tel 07826 385301.

The song’s the thing…

Welcome to Coastal Voices. Four new commissions, hundreds of singers, and an international stage as part of London 2012.

If you sing – in school, in a community choir, a choral society or just in the bath – please join us. Watch this space for details of rehearsals, workshops and performances in each of the four areas of the project (Poole, Weymouth, West Dorset and East Devon). You can expect world class guest artists, commissioned new arrangements of cult classics by Nick Cave and live sound shaping. All that and probably a strong cup of tea.

Over the coming months, we aim for this site to act as documentation and response to Coastal Voices. Please feel free to contribute ideas, comments and questions and be part of how the project is taking shape…
