Choral Leaders workshop

Choral Leaders Workshop with Howard Moody
Saturday 24 September, 2 – 5pm
Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts

This workshop for choral leaders/conductors from Weymouth/Portland and Poole will take place on Saturday 24 September at the Lighthouse. Howard Moody – our newly appointed Musical Director – will be workshopping and exploring elements of the commissions for Poole (Nick Cave songs by Sonia Slany) and Weymouth/Portland (John Surman). The workshop will take place from 2 – 4pm and be followed by an informal discussion about the project – our thoughts on how it will all work, your questions, ideas, comments etc.

Scores will be provided for you to take away and share with your groups, and we hope you will enjoy including them in your regular rehearsals!

Please confirm your attendance by emailing info@coastalvoices.co.uk by Friday 16 September. We are able to reimburse each leader £40 towards your expenses of attending. Please also confirm which commission area (Poole or Weymouth) your choir/group is joining.

Please note that this session is open to choral leaders and conductors only – it is not designed for individual singers who have registered interest in the project to attend. A list of all choirs participating in the project will soon be available on the website, and you will be able to make arrangements to join their rehearsals.
