“This exciting creative celebration, the biggest Dorset and the south west has ever seen, will take place across the Jurassic Coast and Weymouth and Portland, the second largest venue for Olympic and Paralympic sport outside of London, between May and September 2012.
With 80 events across 2012, Maritime Mix will be providing both residents and visitors a complete Olympic experience over the summer and, as we work towards delivering that programme we’ll have lots of news to share with you and will be regularly updating our blog with behind the scenes insights, updates from all of the events involved and details of other events across the region.”

Happy New Year! Our first rehearsals of 2012 are already underway and recordings from Poole and Weymouth (Saturday 14 January) will be posted here shortly.
First off the mark though is this rehearsal take of Marc Yeats’ Sturzstrom from Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 7 January. This rehearsal recording represents choir voices only (no pebble percussion and no Orator) and is from rehearsal marks 2 through to 9 representing about 1/3rd of the piece.
